and hello readers!
today's entry is about Boat Noodle review
well this is my very first attempt actually and one of my wishlist as well
people do talk about it a lots!
so why not give a try right?
I heard they said that the noodle is soft and delicious
well, let's taste and see how :)
Boat Noodle origin is Thailand
"Boat noodles or kuai tiao ruea (Thai: ก๋วยเตี๋ยวเรือ) is a Thai style noodle dish,
which has a strong flavor. It contains both pork and beef, as well as Dark soy sauce,
Pickled bean curd and some other spices, and is normally served with meatballs and pig’s liver.
The soup also contains nam tok (Thai: น้ำตก), which is cow or pigs blood mixed with salt,
to season the soup. The color of the soup is similar to beef noodles soup (Thai: ก๋วยเตี๋ยวเนื้อ).
It is commonly served in a small bowl." - Wikipedia
"The other ingredients of boat noodles are garlic, fried garlic, radish, cinnamon, bean sprouts,
parsley, morning glory and some paprika.
Type of the noodles for boat noodle are several, thin rice noodles, egg noodles,
sen yai (Thai: เส้นใหญ่) and sen lek. (Thai: เส้นเล็ก)
Boat noodles are commonly served with pork crackling and
basil or sweet basil to reduce the fishy smell." - Wikipedia
There are lots of Boat Noodle restaurant in Petaling Jaya district
and as far as my concern there are only two restaurant which is "halal"
one in Empire Damansara and one in Publika, Solaris Dutamas
do not worry, Boat Noodle at Empire Damansara and Publika is 100% halal
no pork ingredients at all
they also have the halal certificate and display it on the wall of the restaurant
you may see it as well once you enter the restaurant
and we chose Boat Noodle, Empire Damansara for the foods testing
Well the restaurant was always full house!
what you need to do when you reach is
1. On the left side of the restaurant you may see their staff standing and holding paper
and pen along, go to them and tell how many people going to dine in with you
and they will give you the turn number.
2. Just wait for 5-15 minutes depending on the how many people currently waiting.
As of me we only wait for 10 minutes
3. be seated and the menu will be given
On the table itself, they already put the order guide for newbie
yeah we are newbie! and thanks for the guidance
Here the order guide
1. Choose any 4 bowls of noodle
2. choose 1 drink
3. choose 1 side dish
4. still hungry? repeat steps 1-3. Re-order :)
well in here there only 4 types of noodle
spicy beef, extra spicy beef, spicy chicken and extra spicy chicken
if you ask me which one is the best, all are delicious i tell ya!
and most favorite is beef. i like it a lot!
I tell my husband this
"we eating just now is boat noodle or mee celup? the taste is just the same."
